Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Shift Engineer to manage day-to-day engineering operations and ensure smooth functioning of all MEP services at the facility. The candidate will be responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance, team coordination, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage day-to-day MEP/Engineering operations at the facility.
- Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of Electrical, HVAC, DG, Fire Fighting, Plumbing and other utility systems.
- Carry out and monitor Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Breakdown Maintenance (BM) activities.
- Attend and resolve equipment breakdowns and operational issues within the required timelines.
- Supervise and coordinate with technicians and engineering staff during shifts.
- Maintain daily shift reports, equipment logs, maintenance records and checklists.
- Coordinate with vendors/service providers for maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Monitor energy consumption and support initiatives for improving operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspection of equipment and identify potential maintenance issues.
- Ensure proper handover and takeover between shifts.
- Escalate critical engineering issues to the Facility/Engineering Manager.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma / ITI / Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical discipline.
- 3–6 years of experience in facility management, commercial buildings, corporate facilities, industrial facilities or similar environments.
- Good knowledge of MEP systems and facility engineering operations.
- Experience in handling preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
