Position: Sheet Metal Operator

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Operator to fabricate and process aerospace sheet metal components as per engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Qualification & Experience

• ITI Pass Out with 2–3 years of relevant work experience in sheet metal operations, or
• ITI candidate with relevant apprenticeship experience.
• Good knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T concepts, and dimensional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sheet metal forming, trimming, heat treatment dressing, drilling, and shape correction.
• Work with tool blocks, drill jigs, and sheet metal fixtures.
• Operate NC bending machines, rubber press machines, and shearing machines.
• Read and interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings and execute jobs accordingly.
• Select the appropriate sheet metal based on material type, thickness/gauge, and size as per drawing requirements.
• Mark and measure sheets using scriber, square, divider, foot rule, and other measuring tools.
• Maintain required dimensions and specifications using appropriate sheet metal tools and measuring instruments.
• Perform basic sheet metal heat treatment processes such as annealing, solutionizing, and aging.
• Follow OEE, 5S, TPM, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100D and applicable aerospace quality standards.
• Work with different types of sheet metals used in aircraft/aerospace structures.
• Ensure all fabricated components meet required quality and dimensional standards.
