Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce QA Engineer with a strong background in software quality assurance, Salesforce platform testing, and Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing, along with a solid understanding of test automation practices and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of Salesforce applications by developing and executing comprehensive test strategies, identifying and managing defects, and collaborating with development teams, business stakeholders, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to develop comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and system testing of Salesforce applications.
• Validate Salesforce configurations, customizations, business processes, workflows, validation rules, and user permissions.
• Design, develop, and maintain test cases that ensure adequate coverage of business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, document, track, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and verification.
• Participate in test case reviews to ensure quality, completeness, reusability, and adherence to established testing standards.
• Develop and execute practical test automation strategies, particularly for regression testing, wherever appropriate.
• Apply test automation framework design principles and best practices to improve testing efficiency and maintainability.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve functional issues.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Adapt to short sprint cycles, typically two weeks, while ensuring timely and effective test execution.
• Support Salesforce implementations and coordinate with Salesforce product teams to address project and client requirements.
• Ensure compliance with standardized QA processes, policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Follow established processes for managing test environments, version control, source code management, and deployment validation.
• Maintain the integrity and stability of QA and other testing environments throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in internal defect triage meetings, assess defect severity and priority, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for resolution.
• Support customers during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test execution, defect investigation, retesting, and UAT defect triage.
• Perform post-deployment smoke testing and validate critical business functionality following releases.
• Communicate testing progress, defect status, risks, and quality metrics to project stakeholders.
• Adapt to customer-specific processes and delivery requirements while maintaining established QA standards and best practices.
• Work independently and collaboratively with globally distributed teams in a remote delivery environment, with flexibility to accommodate different time zones as required.
• Maintain target billable utilization in accordance with organizational and project expectations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (QA).
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA principles, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience in functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
• Good understanding of Salesforce objects, fields, relationships, validation rules, workflows, Flows, profiles, roles, permission sets, and sharing rules.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
• Experience in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements analysis and design through testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Ability to create effective test plans and test cases based on written specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and verbal requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Proven ability to identify, isolate, document, and track defects effectively.
• Familiarity with test automation concepts, framework design, and regression automation best practices.
• Knowledge of source code management, version control systems, deployment processes, and test environment management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to deliver quality outcomes within tight sprint timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce certifications relevant to the role.
• Scrum or Agile certifications, such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Experience in automation framework design, reusable test components, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
• Experience supporting Salesforce implementations, customer-facing projects, and UAT activities.
• Familiarity with API testing, integration testing, and data validation techniques.
