About this role
ServiceNow Developer SAM (License Engine)
Youll build and configure ServiceNow capability against approved designs, covering scripted and flow-based configuration, Integration Hub integrations and ATF test coverage. The role also includes SAM Pro scripting, license engine customisation and reconciliation with the CMDB.
Key responsibilities
- Build scripted and flow-based ServiceNow configuration against approved designs
- Develop Integration Hub spokes and API integrations
- Configure and script SAM Pro license engine customisations
- Build and maintain reconciliation logic between SAM Pro and CMDB
- Author and maintain ATF test coverage for delivered work
- Support audit-readiness data checks under architect direction
- Participate in code/configuration review and uphold platform hygiene standards
- Estimate and commit to backlog items in sprint planning
- Support defect triage and resolution within the squad
- Contribute to technical documentation for delivered features
Required skills & experience
- Strong Glide API scripting ability
- Flow Designer and Integration Hub experience
- App Engine Studio familiarity
- ATF test authoring experience
- SAM Pro scripting exposure
- Basic comfort reading software licensing terms
- Comfortable working to a defined technical design and coding standard
- Enterprise ServiceNow delivery experience (not sandbox/training-only)
Desirable
- ServiceNow CAD or CSA certification
- Prior involvement in a license reconciliation or true-up exercise
- Exposure to Now Assist or other AI-adjacent scripting, given the platforms wider direction
