ServiceNow Business Analyst

Job Summary

About the role You ll translate business needs into clear ServiceNow requirements and own the why behind the backlog. You ll work day to day with business stakeholders, running workshops, mapping processes and writing acceptance criteria that the squad can build and test against.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements elicitation and process mapping with business stakeholders
• Author clear, testable acceptance criteria for backlog items
• Run stakeholder workshops and requirements walkthroughs
• Support UAT planning and sign-off coordination
• Maintain traceability between business requirement, build and test evidence
• Define use cases with a named business owner, success measures and acceptance criteria
• Support benefits tracking and baseline measurement for delivered changes
• Act as the day-to-day link between the squad and its business stakeholders

Required skills & experience

• Business analysis certification or equivalent demonstrable experience
• Process mapping skills (BPMN or similar)
• Strong stakeholder workshop facilitation
• Ability to write clear, testable acceptance criteria
• Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment
• Strong written communication, producing requirements that development teams build against

Desirable

• ServiceNow requirements experience
• Working CMDB/CSDM knowledge, useful for ITOM-focused work
• Software licensing and contract knowledge, useful for SAM-focused work
• Experience defining AI or automation use cases with a clear business owner, success measures and acceptance criteria
