The Service Partnering Lead-ISC role acts as the CTO's senior technology partner and representative for an assigned Operating Unit Region and its relevant Commercial, QSC, RD and Corporate Functions organisations and Technology Leaders. It maintains an end-to-end view of the CTO technology landscape, performance, dependencies, risks, investment and future requirements.
Acts as the principal CTO representative to assigned leadership teams. Connects business strategy with technology priorities, provides visibility and insight to inform decisions, and facilitates a coordinated CTO response to business needs. Offers trusted counsel, constructive challenge and an authoritative view of technology health (accountability remains with relevant product, service, project, risk, financial and operational owners).
Responsibilities
- Act as the principal CTO partner for the assigned Operating Unit Region and its Commercial, QSC, RD and Corporate Functions stakeholders, including close working with Technology Site Partners and local technology leaders. Connect business strategy, site priorities and regional technology needs with CTO plans, make implications visible in decision-making, and provide trusted advice, constructive challenge and clear recommendations where priorities, demand, investment or delivery expectations need alignment.
- Maintain an end-to-end view of technology health across products, platforms, infrastructure, cyber, data, digital services, sites and delivery. Work with Technology Site Partners to understand site-level service experience, operational constraints, resilience concerns, local risk and compliance issues, and recurring pain points. Use service, operational, experience, financial and risk data to identify issues, trends and improvement opportunities, while ensuring material risks, compliance gaps, resilience concerns and dependencies are visible, tracked and escalated through the right forums.
- Provide an integrated view of strategic initiatives, portfolio delivery, lifecycle needs, demand, costs, funding, benefits and dependencies affecting the assigned region. Represent stakeholder needs in CTO discussions and highlight where technology, data, automation or emerging capabilities could improve performance, productivity, resilience or customer outcomes.
- Bring together relevant product, service, engineering, cyber, data, architecture, portfolio and delivery teams to support a coherent CTO response to regional priorities. Facilitate governance, coordinate cross-functional escalation, track actions and provide the CTO with concise, evidence-based insight on stakeholder priorities, technology health, investment choices, material risks and matters requiring executive attention.
- Success in the role: Business and Technology Leaders recognise the role as a trusted adviser and effective route into CTO. Stakeholders have a clear, integrated view of technology plans, demand, investment, dependencies, risks and expected value. CTO teams respond coherently to stakeholder needs, with effective facilitation, timely escalation and fewer unresolved cross-functional issues. Agreed ITIL-aligned practices are consistently advocated, with process gaps and material non-adherence visible to accountable owners. Material risks, resilience concerns, delivery dependencies and investment choices are visible, tracked and escalated when required. The CTO receives timely, reliable insight and clear recommendations on matters requiring executive attention.
Basic Qualifications
- Senior-level experience working across complex, global technology environments and advising senior business or technology leadership teams.
- Proven ability to connect business strategy with technology priorities, provide insight into investment and delivery decisions, and advocate consistent adoption of ITIL-aligned service management practices.
- Breadth of understanding of enterprise technology, including products, platforms, infrastructure, cyber, data, architecture, digital services and delivery.
- Ability to build trusted executive relationships, provide credible counsel, influence decisions and mobilise appropriate teams without direct authority.
- Strong commercial, financial and portfolio awareness, with the judgement to assess demand, investment, benefits and supplier performance and advise accountable decision-makers.
- Strong analytical judgement, using service, financial, operational, risk and experience data to develop evidence-based insight and recommendations.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, balance competing priorities, constructively challenge stakeholders and maintain accountability for effective follow-through and escalation.
- Clear and influential communication, with an inclusive, collaborative approach across global, culturally diverse and matrix organisations.
Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL Foundation or advanced ITIL certification.
- Experience within a multinational technology organisation.
- Experience of Digital Workplace, Infrastructure, Cloud and Enterprise Services.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow and service performance reporting.
- Experience supporting financial planning, demand management or technology portfolio governance.
- Experience driving continual service improvement and service maturity initiatives.
- Understanding of manufacturing, commercial, RD or corporate technology environments.
