SEO Intern
We are looking for an SEO Intern who can independently handle and execute SEO tasks assigned by the team.
Key Requirements
- Basic hands-on SEO experience through an internship, freelance work, personal projects, or up to 1 year of experience.
- Good understanding of on-page SEO, off-page SEO, keyword research, technical SEO, and content optimization.
- Strong understanding of AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization).
- Ability to conduct research, analyze competitors, and identify SEO opportunities.
- Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, or similar SEO tools.
- Ability to follow instructions, manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate progress clearly.
- Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Proactive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a rapidly evolving SEO landscape.
Measurable Screening Criteria
Candidates should ideally meet the following criteria:
- SEO Experience: Completed at least 1-2 real SEO projects, internships, freelance assignments, or equivalent practical work.
- SEO Knowledge: Able to explain and demonstrate understanding of keyword research, on-page SEO, technical SEO, and backlink basics.
- AEO & GEO Knowledge: Able to clearly explain the difference between SEO, AEO, and GEO, along with practical optimization approaches.
- Practical Assessment: Should be able to complete a short SEO task live, such as:
- Conduct keyword research for a given topic.
- Perform a basic SEO audit of a webpage.
- Identify 5-10 actionable SEO improvements.
- Suggest how a piece of content could be optimized for AI search and answer engines.
- Tool Familiarity: Should demonstrate basic familiarity with at least 2 SEO tools.
- Communication: Must be able to clearly document findings and explain recommendations.
- Availability & Execution: Should be capable of handling assigned tasks independently and meeting agreed deadlines.
Ideal candidate: Someone with practical SEO knowledge, strong research skills, and a genuine understanding of how search is evolving beyond traditional Google rankings into AI-powered search and answer engines.
