SEO Content Writer & Editorial Outreach Executive

About the role
Kalkey is hiring an SEO Content Writer & Editorial Outreach Executive to create content for our website and coordinate articles with trade and technology publications. The role combines writing, proofreading, publisher research and pitching, and communication between publishers and our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Research, write, and update clear, original, SEO-friendly website pages and blog articles.
• Apply on-page SEO practices, including search intent, headings, titles, meta descriptions, and relevant internal links.
• Identify credible trade magazines and technology publications that fit a client's expertise and article topic.
• Research editorial guidelines and pitch relevant article ideas to editors and publishers.
• Proofread and edit clients' articles for grammar, clarity, structure, factual consistency, and publication requirements.
• Coordinate information, feedback, revisions, approvals, and deadlines between publishers and clients.
• Track pitches, responses, submissions, follow-ups, and publication status.
• Verify technical and professional claims with the client before content is submitted.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in content writing, SEO content, editing, editorial outreach, or a related role.
• Excellent written English and strong proofreading skills.
• Practical understanding of keyword research and on-page SEO.
• Ability to research technology and industry topics and write for a professional audience.
• Confidence communicating with editors, publishers, and clients by email.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Google Docs or Microsoft Word and spreadsheets.

Preferred: Published writing samples or experience pitching articles to trade or technology publications.
