Location: Bangalore, India (Hybrid - 3 Days per Week)
Salary: ₹36 LPA
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time The Opportunity We're partnering with a global organisation looking to appoint an experienced
Senior Oracle Database Administrator to support and enhance a large-scale Oracle ERP environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an Oracle specialist who enjoys working across databases, middleware, and enterprise applications in a complex, business-critical environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of Oracle systems while collaborating with development, testing, and infrastructure teams globally. The Role As a Senior Oracle DBA, you will be responsible for the administration, support, monitoring, and optimisation of Oracle databases and associated middleware technologies supporting ERP applications and enterprise systems. You'll be involved in everything from deployment and troubleshooting through to patching, architecture support, and ensuring high availability across production and non-production environments. Key Responsibilities
- Support Oracle Database services across ERP applications, including databases, infrastructure, and middleware.
- Deploy application and development code into various environments.
- Assist developers and testers with troubleshooting, performance tuning, and technical recommendations.
- Respond to production incidents and outages, ensuring timely resolution and root-cause analysis.
- Perform routine patching and upgrades of Oracle Databases, Middleware, Infrastructure, and Applications.
- Administer and maintain non-production environments to support development and testing activities.
- Monitor and maintain production middleware environments to maximise performance and availability.
- Provide application design and architecture expertise to support ERP and associated business systems.
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system standards. Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of experience supporting Oracle application environments.
- Strong experience administering Oracle Database 12c or above, including: + Installation and configuration + Backup and recovery + Performance tuning + Security and user administration + Database maintenance and patching
- Experience supporting Oracle Middleware technologies, including: + WebLogic 12 + Oracle Fusion Middleware (11g/12c)
- Strong Linux administration experience (OEL/RHEL preferred), including: + Command-line troubleshooting + Log analysis + Shell scripting (Bash)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Desirable Experience Experience supporting one or more of the following technologies:
- Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
- Oracle Master Data Management (MDM)
- Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP)
- Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI)
- Hyperion Financials and Planning
- Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
- Kofax MarkView
- Oracle Identity Management (OIM)
- Oracle Access Manager (OAM)
- Oracle Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Additional experience with the following would be highly beneficial:
- Oracle Forms and Reports
- Oracle HTTP Server (OHS)
- Discoverer
- XML technologies, SOAP, REST APIs, and web services
- Java troubleshooting and log analysis
- AWS or other public cloud platforms
