Job Description & Job Specification Web Developer – WordPress & Shopify eCommerce Specialist Location: Coimbatore Experience: 3-5 years Job Description :Roles, Responsibilities, and Duties :BUIL D- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using best software development practices .- Create website layouts and user interfaces using standard HTML / CSS practices .- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases .- Integrate with third-party tools and plugins as required .- Ensure security through appropriate security platforms and SSL certificates .- Use developer environments such as WordPress, Wix, or others as preferred by the customer . TE ST- Test for features and functionality to ensure they meet client specification s.- Test for navigability and user friendliness across devices and browser s.- Conduct security testing to identify and mitigate vulnerabilitie s. OPERATE & MAINT AIN- Ensure continuous upkeep of the website and make incremental improvements as requir ed.- Maintain and troubleshoot the website in a timely manner to minimize downti me. Must-Have Ski lls:· Front-End Development: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and responsive web design princip les.· Back-End Development: Experience with PHP and server-side script ing.· Database: Hands-on experience with MySQL for database design and query ing.· CMS Platforms: Practical experience with WordPress; exposure to Wix or similar platfo rms.· Integration: Ability to integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and back-end servi ces.· Security: Understanding of web security best practices, including SSL certificates and secure co ding Good to have Sk ills:· Experience developing and managing eCommerce websites (e.g. WooCommerce, Shop ify).· Familiarity with version control systems such as Git / Gi tHub.· Knowledge of SEO best practices and web performance optimisa tion.· Exposure to JavaScript frameworks (e.g. jQuery, React bas ics).· Good communication and analytical sk ills. Specific skills, i f any:· Ability to work across both custom-coded projects and CMS-based plat forms.· Strong attention to detail in UI design and cross-browser / cross-device te sting.· Capacity to manage multiple client website projects simultaneously in an agency se tting. Good to have Certifications, if appl icable:· Any relevant certification will be an added adv antage.· Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ) is a plus.· WordPress Developer Certification or equivalent CMS credentials are a plus.
