ROLE OVERVIEW

We're looking for a passionate Senior Video Editor to join the IMDb India creative team. If you've edited engaging podcasts, celebrity interviews, YouTube shows, talk shows, or non-fiction content, and understand how to transform conversations into compelling stories, we'd love to meet you. You'll be responsible for editing long-form interviews, celebrity conversations, podcasts, entertainment formats, and digital-first content while also creating high-performing cutdowns, highlight reels, teasers, trailers, and YouTube Shorts.

This role is ideal for someone who understands storytelling, pacing, audience retention, platform-first editing, and thrives in a fast-paced entertainment environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Video Editing & Storytelling

Edit long-form YouTube, podcasts, celebrity interviews, and non-fiction content.

Create strong pacing, narrative flow, continuity, and viewer retention.

Handle multi-camera edits, sync footage, and select the best takes.

2. Post-Production

Manage the end-to-end post-production process from raw footage to final delivery.

Handle revisions, quality checks, exports, and platform-specific requirements.

Coordinate with producers, content teams, and creative teams.

3. Audio, Music & SFX

Work on sound design, music selection, SFX, and audio balancing.

Ensure clean dialogue, consistent audio levels, and an engaging sound experience.

4. Colour & Visual Enhancement

Perform colour correction and basic-to-intermediate colour grading.

Maintain visual consistency across cameras, shots, and episodes.

Use transitions, graphics, and visual effects wherever required.

5. Content Cutdowns & Repurposing

Create episode cuts, highlights, Shorts, and other content cutdowns.

Identify high-performing moments from long-form content for short-form formats.

Adapt edits according to platform and audience requirements.

6. YouTube Packaging

Support the creation/adaptation of YouTube thumbnails.

Ensure visual packaging aligns with the content, title, and overall channel identity.

7. Quality & Delivery

Ensure all content meets creative, technical, and brand quality standards.

Deliver projects within defined timelines while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 4+ years of professional video editing experience.
• Proven experience editing YouTube, digital content, and non-fiction formats.
• Strong portfolio in podcasts, celebrity interviews, or similar conversational content.
• Excellent understanding of storytelling, pacing, sequencing, and visual continuity.
• Strong knowledge of colour correction, grading, SFX, music, and sound design.
• Experience creating short-form cutdowns from long-form content.
• Ability to independently manage end-to-end post-production workflows.
• Understanding of YouTube thumbnails and visual packaging.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
