Senior Unity / Full Stack / AI Engineer

Role Overview:

Teqfocus is looking for a senior hands-on engineer who can combine Unity/C# development, modern full-stack engineering and practical AI/LLM capabilities. The role will contribute to product experiences that bring together rich 3D/interactive functionality, cloud APIs, enterprise data and AI-assisted workflows.

The right candidate should be a strong product engineer first: capable of owning features end to end, making sound UX/technical decisions, using AI agents to accelerate delivery, and rigorously validating generated output rather than treating AI as a code-completion tool.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build production-grade Unity applications and components using C#, with emphasis on maintainability, performance and reliable interaction with backend services.
• Develop backend APIs/services using C#/.NET / ASP.NET Core and integrate with enterprise data stores and cloud services.
• Contribute to web-based product surfaces using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as Vue, React or Angular as required by the product.
• Integrate Unity and web clients with REST APIs, real-time services, authentication/authorization and cloud-hosted backend systems.
• Build AI-enabled product capabilities using LLM APIs, retrieval, embeddings, structured outputs, tool/function calling and workflow orchestration where appropriate.
• Design agentic engineering and product workflows with clear plans, bounded tools, validation steps, fallbacks and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Evaluate AI output for correctness, security, maintainability, edge cases and user experience; remain accountable for the final engineering result.
• Optimize 3D/runtime performance, memory, rendering, asset loading and user interaction for complex scenes or data-rich visual experiences.
• Participate in cloud architecture, CI/CD, automated testing, observability and production support for the end-to-end solution.
• Work with product/UX stakeholders to translate intent into high-quality implementation without requiring every product decision to be prescribed.
• Modernize existing code safely through incremental refactoring and modularization while maintaining production stability.
• Use AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or equivalent to multiply delivery throughput through planning, parallelized implementation and review.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful recent Unity and C# ownership.
• Evidence of shipping production features across more than one layer of the stack.
• AI-native engineering habits with clear examples of agentic workflows and independent validation.
• Comfortable working remotely with US-based product and engineering stakeholders; immediate / short-notice availability preferred.
• Strong Unity development experience with C# and production application delivery.
• Strong C#/.NET / ASP.NET Core backend engineering experience, including APIs, async programming and service integration.
• Full-stack experience with a modern web framework such as Vue, React or Angular and strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals.
• Cloud experience on Microsoft Azure, including deployment, application services, identity/security and monitoring concepts.
• Practical experience integrating databases such as MongoDB and/or SQL Server.
• Hands-on AI/LLM engineering experience beyond simple prompting: API integration, RAG/retrieval, tool calling, agents/workflows, structured outputs and evaluation.
• Strong understanding of testing, code review, security and performance validation for AI-assisted code.
• Strong product judgment, ownership and ability to make reasonable UX/implementation decisions independently.
• Git-based engineering, CI/CD and automated testing experience.
