Senior Turn mill / Sliding Head Programmer

Key Responsibilities

• Create, optimize, and prove out CNC Turn mill and Sliding Head programs
• Develop CNC programs using CAM software (Solid CAM, Mastercam) and generate machining process sheets.
• Select cutting tools, work holding methods, and machining strategies to achieve cycle time and quality targets.
• Perform program simulation, verification, and machine prove-out to ensure first-time-right production.
• Provide technical support to machine operators during setup, trial, and production.
• Analyse engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications to define machining processes.
• Coordinate with production, quality, tooling, and engineering teams for new product implementation.
• Maintain program revision control, setup documentation, tooling lists, and process records.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to cycle time reduction and machine utilization.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and customer requirements.

Required Skills

• Must have worked in high-volume mass production as well as NPI (New Product Introduction) projects.
• Strong experience in Turn mill Programming
• Good knowledge of Sliding Head Machines
• Proficiency in Solid CAM, Mastercam
• Strong understanding of GD&T, machining processes, cutting tools, and process optimization.
• Ability to independently prove out and validate machining programs.
