Hiring: Senior Transmission Line Experts (Civil & Electrical), Project Management Consultancy (PMC) for EHV/UHV Transmission Projects (Pan India)

About the Opportunity
We are hiring senior technical experts on behalf of a leading infrastructure group for its upcoming large-scale EHV/UHV power transmission projects across India. Selected candidates will join the PMC team and provide expert technical oversight on transmission line construction.

1. Senior Transmission Line Expert, Civil

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• 20+ years of experience in EHV/UHV power transmission systems and large-scale utility projects

2. Senior Transmission Line Expert, Electrical

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
• 20+ years of experience in EHV/UHV power transmission systems and large-scale utility projects

Key Responsibilities: Civil

• Review and approve tower foundation designs, soil investigation reports and foundation drawings
• Supervise foundation types (pile, open cast, rock anchor, special foundations) and verify construction quality
• Oversee route survey, tower spotting and profile finalisation
• Ensure concrete, reinforcement and material testing comply with specifications and standards
• Review contractor work methods for challenging terrain (river crossings, hilly areas, forests)

Key Responsibilities: Electrical

• Review tower designs, conductor, insulator and hardware specifications and drawings
• Supervise tower erection, stringing, sagging and line accessories installation
• Oversee line testing, pre-commissioning checks and energisation
• Verify electrical clearances, crossings (railway, road, power lines) and compliance with standards
• Review vendor documents and factory inspection reports

Common Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor progress against schedule, quality and safety standards
• Coordinate with the PMC team, EPC contractors, vendors and statutory authorities
• Review Quality Assurance Plans and conduct field inspections
• Support claims review, contractual issues and technical clarifications
• Prepare site inspection and progress reports for management

Desired Candidate Profile

• Proven experience on EHV/UHV (400 kV / 765 kV / HVDC) transmission line projects
• Prior experience with a utility, EPC contractor or PMC / owner's engineer
• Sound knowledge of IS, IEC, CBIP and CEA standards
• Strong inspection, reporting and coordination skills
• Willingness to travel and be deployed at project sites across India
