The company’s offerings include testing and commissioning of HV/EHV substations and transmission lines, operations and maintenance with large teams deployed across India, and retrofits and upgrades for ageing assets. ISSPL also conducts engineering studies, diagnostics, and technical training, working alongside other SCOPE Group verticals as a comprehensive lifecycle partner for power infrastructure.

Role Description The Senior Test Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Thane, responsible for leading and executing testing activities for high-voltage power system projects. The role includes planning and designing test strategies and test cases, performing functional and system-level testing of equipment and systems, and overseeing test execution during commissioning and maintenance phases. The Senior Test Engineer will collaborate with project, engineering, and field teams to validate system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with technical standards and safety protocols. Day-to-day tasks involve documenting test results, preparing reports, mentoring junior engineers, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, and supporting continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Test Engineering and Testing for power systems and related equipment.
• Candidates should possess practical experience in Test Execution and the creation and management of Test Cases.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Functional Testing of high-voltage systems, protection schemes, and control equipment.
• Candidates should possess a solid understanding of high-voltage substations, transmission lines, protection relays, and commissioning practices.
• Candidates should possess a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with several years of relevant testing and commissioning experience.
• Candidates should possess the ability to interpret technical drawings and standards, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and documentation skills, and the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with safety regulations, quality assurance practices, and industry tools used in testing and diagnostics.
