Senior Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure end-to-end Requirement Traceability by mapping business requirements to test cases and defects.
• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive functional test cases with adequate test coverage.
• Execute test cases, validate results, and document test evidence in the designated test management tools.
• Adhere to established QA processes, standards, and best practices throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Actively participate in Sprint Grooming, Backlog Refinement, and Planning sessions to understand requirements and identify testing impacts.
• Log, track, retest, and verify defects to ensure timely closure and resolution.
• Maintain and organize project documentation, including test artifacts, execution results, and change records in the repository.
• Prepare and manage test data required for functional, integration, and regression testing activities.
• Perform peer reviews of test cases and defect reports to ensure quality and completeness.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings, status updates, and progress discussions with project stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and address quality concerns.
• Mentor and guide junior team members on testing processes, tools, and application-related changes.
• Support test planning, estimation, and risk identification activities to ensure successful project delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.
• Experience in functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing support.
• Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar tools.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to review requirements
