Senior Test Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Manual Tester with 3-5 years of experience in Motor and Health Insurance applications. Require strong expertise in functional testing, test case design/execution, defect management, and validation of end-to-end insurance business processes.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and insurance workflows.
• Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
• Perform Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and UAT Support testing.
• Validate Motor Insurance processes including Quote, Policy Issuance, Endorsements, Renewals, Claims, Cancellations, and Vehicle Inspection journeys.
• Validate Health Insurance processes including Policy Administration, Member Enrollment, Pre-Authorization, Cashless/Reimbursement Claims, Renewals, and Portability.
• Log, track, retest, and verify defects using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and stakeholders for requirement clarification and issue resolution.
• Develop positive and negative test scenarios and provide regular test execution status reports.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of Manual Testing experience.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, test design, and execution methodologies.
• Experience in Motor and/or Health Insurance domain.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools.
• Expertise in Regression Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and UAT support.
• Good understanding of policy lifecycle and claims management processes.
• Basic SQL knowledge for backend data validation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Exposure to API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Knowledge of insurance regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Experience with QMetry, TestRail, ALM
