Senior Technical Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Drive the architecture and implementation of microservices-based applications, ensuring availability, resiliency, scalability, and maintainability.
• Design and develop event-driven solutions leveraging Kafka and other messaging technologies.
• Define and implement RESTful APIs and integration frameworks for internal and external systems.
• Oversee deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of applications running on Kubernetes (K8s).
• Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, code reviews, design discussions, and engineering governance.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Identify system bottlenecks and drive performance optimization initiatives across applications and platforms.
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and operational excellence.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering technical growth, innovation, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Drive technical roadmap discussions and contribute to long-term platform and product strategy.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot-based application development.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of event-driven systems and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
• Expertise in designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, scalability, performance tuning, and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and architectural best practices.
• Experience in technical leadership, code reviews, design governance, and engineering process improvements.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and team leadership capabilities.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar platforms.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization frameworks.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and large-scale product development environments.
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
• Experience in mentoring technical teams and driving organizational engineering excellence.
• Exposure to telecom, fintech, digital payments, or enterprise product ecosystems.
