Senior SyBase & Python Developer

We are looking for a Senior Sybase and Python Developer with strong hands-on experience in Sybase ASE, T-SQL, Unix and Python-based ETL/data solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimise Sybase queries and stored procedures.
• Build Python-based ETL/data processing solutions.
• Work on Unix-based data and file operations.
• Analyse and resolve technical issues across applications and databases.
• Translate business requirements into technical implementation steps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support technical decisions.
• Follow Agile SDLC practices and contribute as a technical SME.

Requirements:

• 5 plus years of experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Sybase ASE / T-SQL.
• Complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Unix/Linux - file operations, permissions, environment and data handling.
• Python for data processing / ETL.
• Shell scripting.
• Autosys / job scheduling.
• Experience with data cleansing, ingestion, loading and reporting.
• Sybase performance tuning, database optimisation, backup/recovery, and application integration experience.
