Senior Supervisor - Scrap Yard

Role & responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Scrap Yard operations.
• Handle scrap receiving, unloading, segregation, grading and stacking.
• Ensure proper identification and quality of scrap for SMS/EAF operations.
• Monitor scrap inventory and material movement.
• Coordinate with SMS/EAF for timely scrap availability and charging.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping and compliance within the Scrap Yard.
• Lead and supervise the scrap yard team.

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidates with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Scrap Yard operations in a steel plant.
• Alloy Steel manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
• Strong practical knowledge of different scrap grades, quality identification and segregation.
• Experience in coordinating with SMS/EAF operations.
• Candidates with good team handling, communication and coordination skills preferred.
