Senior Sub Editor (Health and wellness content)

• Candidate should have prior experience in health/medical content, preferably in a digital editorial setup
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience for the Senior Sub Editor role
• Good English writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Should be comfortable writing health news, explainers and trend-based stories for a general audience
• Should have experience writing health content for a general audience, and not mainly for medical journals, doctors or a medical audience
• Should be able to understand medical information and simplify it without losing the medical context or accuracy
• Should have experience working with doctors/medical experts for quotes and inputs
• Should have a basic understanding of SEO and digital content
• Should be able to fact-check medical claims and use reliable studies, research papers and authoritative health sources
• Should understand medical accuracy and avoid exaggerated, misleading or unsupported health claims
• Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced digital newsroom and handling multiple stories and deadlines

Negotiable:

• Medical journalism experience is preferred but not mandatory if the candidate has strong health editorial experience
• Years of experience can be flexible depending on the candidate's overall profile and relevant experience
• Google Discover experience is an added advantage but not mandatory.
