About this role
What You'll Do
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with Senior Leadership Team (SLT), including Presidents, VPs, GMs, and Marketing Directors, to develop strategic plans, profit plans, growth roadmaps, and business priorities.
- Growth Strategy: Support leadership teams in shaping business, product, segment, and regional growth strategies through market, customer, and competitive insights.
- Business Reviews: Lead the development of business reviews, operating reviews, strategic updates, and executive-ready presentations that drive informed decision-making.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct market, customer, competitor, and industry analysis to identify growth opportunities, market trends, and strategic implications. Also, transform complex business and technical topics into compelling white papers.
- Leadership Narrative & Strategic Support: Provide Chief of Staff-style support for leadership engagements, including executive meeting preparation, leadership messaging and unified narratives, pre-reads, talking points, customer presentations, conference content, and strategic discussions.
- Insight Translation: Convert complex business and technical information into clear, evidence-based recommendations that support leadership decision-making and market execution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Market Research, and regional stakeholders to connect insights, align priorities, and drive strategic business initiatives.
- Market Research: Knowledge of market research methodologies, competitive intelligence, customer insights, segmentation, and industry analysis.
- Business Acumen: Ability to connect market insights with business strategy and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Tools: Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- AI Proficiency: Familiarity with AI-powered business productivity, research, analytics, and content-generation tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Power BI AI features, and other emerging AI platforms) to enhance insight generation and strategic decision support.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage and influence senior leaders through clear and compelling communication.
- Educational Background: Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Strategy, or a related discipline.
- Industry Experience: 3–7 years of experience in Strategic Marketing, Market Research, Product Strategy, Business Strategy, or Chief of Staff-type roles.
- Leadership Exposure: Experience supporting senior executives, business leaders, or leadership teams in strategic planning and business initiatives is preferred.
- Industrial Knowledge: Experience in manufacturing, industrial, technology, or B2B environments is desirable.
- Business Curiosity: Demonstrates strong curiosity about market trends, customer challenges, competitive dynamics, and emerging business opportunities.
- Business Narrative Creation: Skilled at synthesizing complex information into clear, compelling, and executive-ready narratives.
- AI Mindset: Demonstrates interest in leveraging AI and emerging digital tools to improve research, insight generation, and productivity.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills.
