Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Sponsorship & Exhibition Sales Manager to lead commercial partnerships and drive sponsorship and exhibition revenue for the AI Governance, Trust & Security Leaders Summit. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sponsorship revenue targets for conferences, summits, trade shows, or B2B events. This role requires a strategic sales professional capable of engaging senior decision-makers, negotiating high-value partnerships, and building long-term industry relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver sponsorship and exhibition revenue targets for the summit.
- Develop and execute sponsorship sales strategies to maximize commercial growth.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new sponsors, exhibitors, and strategic partners.
- Build relationships with senior executives across AI, cybersecurity, governance, risk, compliance, legal technology, cloud security, consulting, and enterprise software sectors.
- Conduct virtual and in-person sales meetings with prospective partners.
- Create compelling sponsorship proposals aligned with client objectives and business goals.
- Lead commercial negotiations and close high-value sponsorship agreements.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecasting process through CRM systems.
- Work closely with marketing and event delivery teams to ensure sponsor expectations are exceeded.
- Develop repeat business opportunities and long-term partnership agreements.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify new revenue opportunities.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience in sponsorship sales, exhibition sales, conference sales, event partnerships, or B2B commercial sales.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sponsorship revenue targets.
- Experience closing sponsorship packages ranging from £5,000 to £50,000+.
- Strong network across technology, cybersecurity, AI, SaaS, consulting, legal, risk, compliance, or enterprise software sectors is highly desirable.
- Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to engage and influence C-level executives and senior stakeholders.
- Experience using CRM platforms, sales automation tools, and pipeline reporting systems.
- Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
