Senior Specialist, External Reporting

Job Summary

We re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, External Reporting to join our GFCOE Finance - External Reporting team. This role is located in Pune, Mh - Hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Reporting - production of high-quality regulatory returns, analytics and MI in a timely fashion, ensuring that the APAC, EMEA & US region meets reporting deadlines and quality expectations. Primary focus of role with be the monthly and quarterly branches returns.
• Preparation / Review of daily, monthly Statistical regulatory reports with high level of accuracy and performing monetary checks which gets submitted to Regulators
• Monthly and other quarter end Regulatory reports including US Call reports, Deposit & Loans reports. Further to manage the ad hoc requests and stakeholder queries independently.
• Oversight & Controls - maintain a strong operational control environment with well-evidenced reviews, checklists and procedures. Where deficiencies are identified, the jobholder will be responsible for designing and implementing a new control.
• Stakeholder management - Work with market centre financial controller owners across the regions and manage escalations in accordance with the Regulatory Reporting operating Model.
• Knowledge - Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory developments, as well as maintain their knowledge of External Reporting requirements and procedures. Help junior colleagues build their abilities through knowledge share / training.
• Other - assist with the provision of regulatory support for relevant projects e.g., new regulatory reporting production requirements and platform migration, legal entity restructuring and new branches, new business start-ups and product launches. Perform other functions as required from time-to-time.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA), CMA, CFA with 2-3 years of experience in any Finance domain.
• Must be detail-oriented with sound knowledge on Finance, Accounting, Capital market.
• Experience of working with large, complex datasets to produce high quality, well controlled outputs is preferred.
• Fair experience of accounting systems and processes (e.g., advanced user of Excel)
• Organized and structured working methodology, attention to detail and highly motivated
• Technical Acumen and preferably knowing automation tools Power Query
