Position: Senior Software - Workato
Location: Bangalore
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Workato Engineer with 5+ years of experience in integration development, workflow automation, and enterprise application integration. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Workato, API integrations, REST/SOAP web services, and enterprise automation solutions. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable integrations across multiple business applications while ensuring performance, reliability, and data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain integration workflows and automation solutions using the Workato platform.
- Build and manage Workato recipes, callable recipes, custom connectors, and reusable integration components.
- Integrate enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, ServiceNow, SAP, and other SaaS platforms.
- Develop and troubleshoot integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, webhooks, JSON, XML, and authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0.
- Implement data mapping, transformation, validation, error handling, retry mechanisms, and exception management.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to understand integration requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
- Monitor integration workflows, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize performance and reliability.
- Follow integration development best practices, security standards, and governance policies.
- Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, deployment plans, and operational support guides.
- Support testing, deployment, production releases, and ongoing maintenance of integration solutions.
Required Skills
- Must have minimum 5+ years of experience in integration development, middleware, enterprise application integration, or workflow automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Workato iPaaS, including recipe development, triggers, actions, callable recipes, and error handling.
- Experience developing integrations using REST APIs, SOAP web services, webhooks, and API authentication mechanisms.
- Proficiency in JSON, XML, data mapping, transformation, and payload validation.
- Experience integrating enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, ServiceNow, or SAP.
- Knowledge of API security, OAuth 2.0, token-based authentication, and secure credential management.
- Experience with integration testing, debugging, monitoring, and production issue resolution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workato certifications or relevant iPaaS platform certifications
