About the role: This is a high-ownership role ideal for someone who enjoys solving operational challenges, building reliable backend systems, and delivering strong technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend and web components using Python, Node.js, and Zoho tools (Deluge, Zoho Creator, Zoho CRM, etc.).
• Design and implement custom workflows, integrations, and automations across Zoho products.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and client-facing systems.
• Perform code reviews and ensure best practices in maintainability and testing.
• Debug and resolve production/staging issues with fast turnaround.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and scope solutions.
• Write clean, scalable, well-documented code with long-term reliability in mind.
• Optimize SQL databases through indexing, schema improvements, and performance tuning.
• Mentor junior developers while owning key technical initiatives.

Leadership Opportunities:

• Lead and mentor junior developers through reviews and technical guidance.
• Drive end-to-end projects independently.
• Act as a technical bridge between engineering and non-technical teams.

What Success Looks Like in the First 30 Days:

• You understand our Zoho + backend ecosystem.
• You can independently ship meaningful automations or backend enhancements.
• You actively contribute to reviews, architecture discussions, and process improvements.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Zoho products or strong ability to learn low-code systems quickly.
• Strong communication skills.
• Availability to work 5am–2pm EST consistently.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in SaaS automation, fintech, accounting workflows, or operational tooling.
• Prior experience with the Zoho suite.
