Senior Software Engineer

Job Description The key role of Senior Software Developer is Industrial Control Systems (ICS) asset management software development. ICS asset management software or asset model development is the process of discovering the technological principles of an automation industry process control system through analysis of its structures, functions, and operations, then modelling that system’s structure, function, and operation with the goal of automatic documentation. The models are developed in an object-oriented programming language. The role incorporates the use of modern AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality. Experience or familiarity with tools such as Amazon Q Developer, Kiro, GitHub Copilot, and similar AI-based coding assistants will be considered an advantage for supporting efficient development, debugging, and documentation workflows. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, product support, and testing, along with involvement in product demonstrations and installations. Other related duties may be assigned. Responsibilities

• :Industrial Control System Analysi s: Analyse ICS (DCS, PLC, SCADA etc) structure, functions, and operations to create accurate asset models
• .Software Developmen t: Design, develop, document, test, and implement control system software models
• .Data Managemen t: Develop and implement methods for data collection, mining, and management to support control systems
• .Maintenance & Troubleshootin g: Maintain, troubleshoot, and modify existing asset models as required
• .New Model Developmen t: Evaluate, design, and test new asset models or significantly modify existing models with minimal supervision
• .Quality Assuranc e: Collaborate with QA teams in Ahmedabad and Houston to ensure the quality and reliability of software
• .Product Demonstration & Suppor t: Assist in sales support and provide technical demonstrations, especially for new software developments
• .Installation Suppor t: Provide installation assistance remotely or on-site, ensuring successful deployment of software
• .Vendor Software Managemen t: Install and manage vendor-specific software, demo systems, and related tools
• .Work Managemen t: Track and manage tasks using work management tools to meet project deadlines
• .Team Collaboratio n: Participate in team meetings and knowledge transfer sessions, contributing to team growth and success
• .Documentatio n: Create and maintain "how-to" guides or wiki pages to assist internal teams and users
