Senior Software Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality backend microservices using Python and FastAPI/Flask, Core Java (Preffered).
• Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs, service-to-service communication, and integrations with databases, cloud storage, and third-party services.
• Expert and hand on usage of Docker and Kubernetes in a Linux environment.
• Develop efficient, maintainable, and reusable code using appropriate language-specific best practices, design patterns, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Implement concurrent and asynchronous processing using Python multiprocessing, multithreading, and asynchronous programming, as well as Core Java multithreading(Preferred).
• Build and maintain Python-based applications, including dependency management, configuration, packaging, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot application performance, memory consumption, concurrency issues, and production incidents across development, test, UAT, and production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve application reliability, scalability, observability, and performance.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience building and maintaining backend services or microservice-based applications.
• Strong proficiency in the following primary skills:
• Python: Core Python, OOP, exception handling,

multiprocessing/ multithreading, and asynchronous programming.

• FastAPI / Flask: Building and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend

microservices.

• Docker & Kubernetes: Containerizing applications and deploying, scaling, and managing them on Kubernetes.
• Core Java(Preffered): Core Java, Multithreading and data structures.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and distributed backend services.
• Experience with build and dependency management tools such as pip for Python.
• Hands-on experience with Linux-based operating systems, networking fundamentals, and application troubleshooting.
• Experience with Helm and container orchestration.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform. Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is desirable.
• Good knowledge of Nginx, reverse proxies, and load-balancing techniques.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
