Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and scale enterprise applications that bring data science, analytics, optimization, and AI/ML solutions into production.

As part of the Data Science team, this role will work closely with data scientists and business stakeholders to transform analytical models, algorithms, and data-driven solutions into secure, reliable, intuitive applications that can be used across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate has strong full-stack engineering experience and deep hands-on experience building and deploying applications on Microsoft Azure. Experience with GCP is also valuable. Familiarity with AI/ML systems is preferred, but this is primarily an application engineering role.

Key Responsibilities

Data Science Application Development

• Design and build enterprise applications that operationalize data science, analytics, optimization, and AI/ML solutions.
• Partner closely with data scientists to integrate predictive models, optimization models, analytics workflows, and other computational services into production applications.
• Translate data science prototypes and business requirements into scalable, maintainable, production-ready solutions.
• Build intuitive user experiences that enable business users to interact with data, models, scenarios, recommendations, and analytical outputs.
• Develop reusable application components and architectural patterns that accelerate deployment of future data science solutions.
  
  

Full Stack Engineering

• Build modern, high-performance frontend applications using React, Angular, TypeScript, or comparable frameworks.
• Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Python, Java, Node.js, C#, or similar technologies.
• Design APIs and service layers that connect applications with data platforms, databases, analytical models, and AI/ML services.
• Optimize performance across frontend, backend, API, and database layers.
• Apply strong software engineering practices including modular architecture, testing, version control, code review, and maintainable design.
  
  

Azure Cloud Application Engineering

• Design, build, deploy, and operate enterprise applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Work with relevant Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps/AKS, Azure SQL Database, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Key Vault, Storage, and API Management.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using Microsoft Entra ID and enterprise identity patterns.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Develop containerized applications using Docker and, where appropriate, Kubernetes.
• Design applications for availability, scalability, security, observability, and operational support.
• Experience building applications on GCP is a plus; AWS experience is also valuable.
  
  

Data & AI Integration

• Integrate applications with enterprise data platforms, databases, APIs, and analytical services.
• Collaborate with Data Scientist to productionize machine learning and optimization models.
• Build application workflows that allow users to consume predictions, recommendations, simulations, and scenario-analysis results.
• Integrate Generative AI and AI services where appropriate to improve user experience and business processes.
• Experience working with modern data and AI platforms such as Databricks is a plus.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering or full-stack application development experience with undergraduate degree or 3+ years of experience with master degree.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and building enterprise applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong frontend development experience with React, Angular, TypeScript, or similar modern frameworks.
• Strong backend development experience with Python, Java, Node.js, C#, or similar technologies.
• Experience designing REST APIs, service-oriented architectures, and application integrations.
• Experience building secure applications using authentication and authorization frameworks, preferably Microsoft Entra ID.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, scalability, security, reliability, and performance.
• Experience with relational databases such as Azure SQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications.
• Strong communication skills and experience working with technical and business stakeholders.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing applications that expose or operationalize data science, machine learning, optimization, forecasting, simulation, or advanced analytics solutions.
• Experience integrating applications with Databricks or similar modern data platforms.
• Experience with Azure services for AI, data, integration, or application hosting.
• Experience with GCP application development.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, or AI-enabled application architectures.
• Experience working closely with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to move analytical prototypes into production.
• Experience building internal enterprise applications for decision support, planning, forecasting, or operational analytics.
