Power the Future of AI & Why This Role Matters

We are looking for an AI Automation Engineer with 4–6 years of Python development experience and hands-on experience building AI-powered and agentic automation solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong Python backend skills with practical knowledge of LLMs, AI agents, RAG, tool calling, and workflow orchestration.

As part of Sirion’s Automation team, you will design, build, and deploy intelligent automations in which AI agents reason over contracts and business data, call APIs and tools, and execute multi-step processes end-to-end, with appropriate human-in-the-loop controls.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Design, develop, and deploy agentic AI automations that use LLMs, tool/function calling, memory, and multi-step reasoning to automate business processes end-to-end.
• Build agent workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar.
• Build AI agents that interact with APIs, databases, documents, web applications, and external tools.
• Design and implement RAG-based solutions using embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search.
• Integrate OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or other LLM APIs into production systems, including prompt engineering and structured outputs.
• Develop scalable backend services and APIs in Python using FastAPI, Flask, or Django REST Framework.
• Build human-in-the-loop checkpoints, guardrails, and error-handling/retry logic so automations run reliably in production.
• Develop asynchronous and event-driven workflows where required.
• Evaluate agent quality, accuracy, latency, and cost; monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automations in production.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Deploy and maintain solutions using Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable, production-ready Python code.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Stay current with developments in Generative AI and Agentic AI.

Skills & Experience You Bring to the Table

Python & Backend Development

• 4–6 years of professional experience in Python development.
• Strong understanding of OOP, data structures, exception handling, and concurrency (asyncio/threading).
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or Django REST Framework.
• Strong experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL); MongoDB/Redis experience preferred.

Agentic AI / GenAI

• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications beyond proofs of concept.
• Understanding of agentic AI architecture, including planning, tool use, memory, and autonomous multi-step workflows.
• Experience with one or more agent frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
• Experience with tool/function calling and integrating external APIs and tools with LLMs.
• Understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search.
• Experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of prompt engineering and structured LLM outputs.
• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and AI tool integrations.
• Experience building multi-agent systems.

Cloud & DevOps

• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with logging, monitoring, debugging, and production deployments.

Education & Soft Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with RPA or workflow automation platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, or n8n.
• Experience with document AI: extracting and processing data from PDFs, contracts, or other unstructured documents.
• Exposure to Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) or enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Experience with task and message queues such as Celery, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience working with open-source/local LLMs and Hugging Face models.
• Understanding of LLM evaluation, observability, guardrails, and cost optimization.
• Basic understanding of frontend technologies such as React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is strong in Python backend development and has built real AI/agentic automation solutions, not just theoretical knowledge of Generative AI. Candidates should be able to demonstrate projects that combine LLMs + tools/APIs + orchestration + backend services, preferably deployed in production.
