Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Build, deploy, and ensure developed tools, services, and dependent infrastructure are available 24/7/365.
• Use software development and automation to design, modernize, and deliver applications and database infrastructure.
• Develop, enhance, and adhere to engineering and administration standards.
• Develop automation and tooling to improve operational efficiency while ensuring system reliability and security.
• Maintain thorough and well-written documentation.
• Participate in live event support and on-call rotation.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of related experience with Python, the Django framework, and a JavaScript framework.
• 6+ years of related experience with one or more database technologies: Elasticsearch, Redshift, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Daily development experience with unittest or pytest.
• Experience working in Agile software development.
• Experience with source control management tools such as Git, GitLab, or GitHub, and CI/CD development.
• Experience running, deploying, and maintaining production cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• General understanding and experience with Linux, networking, and containers.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to the daily stand-up at Indian Nighttime every weekday.
• Ability to carry out assignments with little coaching or guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Rust or React JS development.
• Experience operating in a Database Reliability Engineering (DRE) and/or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.
• Experience with big-data technologies such as Redshift, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Experience with Elasticsearch and OpenSearch.
• Experience building a proper path to production across multiple lifecycles, testing, integration, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef.
