About this role
Position Overview
Techdome develops mission-critical platforms in healthcare and financial services, where accuracy, security, and uptime are non-negotiable. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and sustain production-grade applications using Node.js, React, MongoDB, and TypeScript, and to take lasting accountability for their performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of features, from design through deployment and ongoing maintenance
- Engineer secure, scalable, and well-tested APIs and applications
- Perform code reviews and uphold engineering standards across the team
- Resolve production incidents directly and perform root-cause analysis
- Participate in architectural planning and technical decision-making
- Coach and mentor engineers within the team
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, and DevOps, and work with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, containerization, and observability tools
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in Node.js, React, MongoDB, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Working knowledge of REST API design, database architecture, authentication and authorization, testing, and application security
- Proven experience operating production applications at scale
- Practical experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Docker, and production monitoring and debugging
- Experience in a regulated industry such as healthcare, fintech, banking, payments, or insurance
- Strong initiative and a record of taking ownership
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of system design, distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures
- Exposure to Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code
- Familiarity with HIPAA/PHI, PCI-DSS, or payment platforms (Stripe, Braintree, Adyen)
- Experience in consulting or product studios supporting multiple clients and products
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
