Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

We are a technology consultancy building AI-powered products for clients across industries. We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our core team in Indore and serve as a technical anchor across multiple concurrent client engagements.

This is a high-ownership role for engineers who thrive in variety, move fast across different domains, and can establish technical direction on a project from day one. You will set architecture standards, lead implementation, and mentor engineers across engagements, while working closely with our leadership team to scope, plan, and deliver high-quality software for clients.

This is a hands-on individual contributor leadership role, not a management track. You will remain deeply technical while influencing how we build across the portfolio.

What You Will Do

• Lead technical architecture and implementation across multiple client projects simultaneously
• Ramp quickly on new domains, stacks, and codebases and make sound architectural decisions early
• Define and enforce engineering standards across projects: code quality, testing, observability, and delivery practices
• Identify and resolve technical risks across engagements before they become production problems
• Partner with leadership and clients to translate requirements into clear technical scopes and implementation plans
• Conduct deep code reviews and set the quality bar for the engineering team
• Mentor senior and junior engineers, elevating the team's capability across all engagements
• Contribute to internal tooling, reusable patterns, and shared infrastructure where applicable

Must-Have Skills

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong record of shipping production systems across multiple projects or clients
• Deep expertise in at least one modern frontend or mobile framework (React, React Native, Vue, Flutter, or equivalent)
• Solid backend engineering: REST or GraphQL API design, server-side architecture, and production Node.js, Go, Python, or equivalent
• Strong command of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), schema design, query optimization, and ORM usage
• Experience with cloud-native or serverless deployment environments (Vercel, AWS, GCP, or equivalent)
• Ability to ramp quickly on unfamiliar codebases, stacks, and client contexts
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English, able to drive technical clarity with engineering teams, internal leadership, and clients
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity, switching contexts across projects, and maintaining quality under delivery pressure
• Ownership mindset: you define problems, propose solutions, and see them through without being managed

AI/ML Engineering (Strongly Preferred)

A significant portion of our client work involves AI-powered products. Candidates with production AI experience are strongly preferred:

• Hands-on integration of LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, or equivalent) into production applications
• Working knowledge of RAG architecture: chunking strategies, embedding models, vector search, and context injection
• Experience with vector databases (pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, or equivalent)
• Prompt engineering for production: designing, testing, and iterating system prompts for reliability and quality
• Streaming AI responses via SSE or WebSockets integrated into real-time UI
• Familiarity with AI evaluation approaches: output quality, hallucination detection, latency, and cost optimization
• Awareness of responsible AI practices: rate limiting, content filtering, fallback handling, and cost governance

Good to Have

• Mobile app release experience (App Store, OTA updates, TestFlight, EAS Build, or equivalent)
• Experience with headless CMS platforms (Sanity, Contentful, or similar)
• Familiarity with Supabase or other BaaS platforms
• Observability and analytics tooling (Sentry, PostHog, Datadog, or equivalent)
• Exposure to monetization or paywall SDKs (RevenueCat, Superwall, or similar)
• Experience with OAuth and mobile auth flows (Apple Sign-In, Google OAuth)
• Prior consultancy or agency experience, or a track record of delivering across multiple clients or product teams

Work Model & Location

Hybrid role based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Candidates must be located in Indore or open to relocation. Candidate must be comfortable working remotely from home. Occasional office days are coordinated around project planning, client reviews, and team collaboration.
