Senior Software engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at Cyient, limited, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge software solutions, contributing to the full software development lifecycle for our diverse range of engineering services.

Responsibilities:**

* Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex software systems and applications using various programming languages and technologies.
* Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define requirements, create technical specifications, and ensure successful project execution.
* Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in software development, including clean code, testing, and documentation.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing software to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
* Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and maintenance.
* Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance our development processes and product offerings.
* Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, ensuring solutions align with long-term strategic goals.
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation for software design, development, and operation.

Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
* 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on designing and building scalable applications.
* Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, C#, or JavaScript.
* Demonstrable experience with modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
* Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
* Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Roles and Responsibilities
Under direct supervision, assists in research and fact-finding to develop or modify information systems. Assists in preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs. Staffed by beginners who have had sufficient educational background and/or experience to qualify them to start in application systems analysis and programming.
