Senior Software Engineer

Java Full Stack Engineers Role: The Java Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for designing developing testing deploying enhancing and supporting enterprisescale applications that power Staples Supply Chain ecosystem including Inventory Management Order Management Order Fulfillment Transportation Marketplace Integrations and related supply chain platforms Engineers will work within globally distributed Agile teams and contribute across the complete Software Development Lifecycle Key Responsibilities Design develop test and maintain enterprise applications Develop scalable highperformance REST APIs and microservices Build and enhance userfacing applications using modern web technologies Participate in architecture discussions code reviews and design reviews Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis Collaborate with Product Owners Architects QA DevOps and Business teams Apply engineering best practices including CICD automated testing and secure coding Contribute to modernization initiatives and continuous platform improvements Ensure solutions are scalable maintainable resilient and aligned to enterprise standards Core Technology Stack Backend Java 8/11/17 Spring Boot Ecosystem MVC Data JPA Security Cloud RESTful Services Microservices Databases PostgreSQL Oracle SQL Server MySQL MongoDB Cosmos DB Couchbase Messaging Integration Kafka Event Hub Solace API Integration DevOps Engineering GitHub CICD Pipelines SonarQube Docker Kubernetes AgileScrum Delivery Model Expected to Deliver user stories independently Develop APIs services and application enhancements Write unittested maintainable code Participate in sprint ceremonies and code reviews

Support defect resolution and production issue analysis

Required Experience

3-5 years of software engineering experience

Handson development experience using Java and Spring Boot

Experience developing REST APIs and backend services

Understanding of SQL and relational databases

Exposure to Agile development practices

Experience with Git and source control tools

Preferred Experience

Microservices architecture

Angular or React development

Cloud platforms AzureGCPAWS

Retail or Supply Chain domain exposure
