Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Build, deploy, and maintain highly available database infrastructure (24/7).
• Design and modernise database platforms using automation and infrastructure-as-code.
• Manage scalable, fault-tolerant, and distributed database systems.
• Perform database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Develop automation, monitoring, alerting, and recovery solutions.
• Plan capacity, upgrades, releases, and infrastructure changes.
• Ensure reliability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain documentation and support live events/on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and guide junior members.

Requirements:

• Experience operating within a database reliability engineering (DRE) and/or systems reliability engineering (SRE) role.
• Experience running, deploying, and maintaining production systems in Oracle Cloud
• Infrastructure and/or Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience building a proper path to production leveraging multiple lifecycles, testing, integration, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with configuration management (Ansible, Chef).
