Senior Software Engineer

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.

In this role, you will: Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments Contribute to large scale planning of strategies Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications: 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications: Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Harness CD. Lead release engineering activities, ensuring reliability, security, and standardization across enterprise platforms Implement security and quality gates across pipelines, integrating best practices for DevSecOps.  Lead application onboarding and deployment on Cloud platforms and OpenShift (OCP), ensuring cloud-native, highly available architectures Design and implement blue-green and high-availability deployment models using containers and Kubernetes-based platforms. Drive standardization and adoption of Docker containerization and platform best practices.  Architect and deliver Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for cloud and platform provisioning. Create automated onboarding, database deployment, reporting, and monitoring solutions to accelerate delivery velocity Build self-service capabilities to enable developer autonomy while maintaining governance.  Design and integrate observability and monitoring solutions to ensure availability, performance, and operational insight. Provide advanced Linux administration and troubleshooting support for containerized and cloud-hosted workloads Lead setup and automation of Kafka and Flink pipelines, supporting real-time, event-driven architectures. Develop automation using Python or Shell scripting to improve platform reliability and engineering productivity Apply modern engineering practices to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise solutions. Provide technical leadership and design guidance across teams, influencing architecture, tooling, and best practices. Lead and contribute to enterprise transformation programs such as platform migrations, cloud adoption, and DevSecOps modernization initiatives. Collaborate closely with LOB stakeholders, CIO leadership, architecture, and external service providers

Job Expectations: Strong experience with CI/CD tools including GitHub, GitHub Actions, Harness CD, and related automation platforms.  Hands-on expertise in Cloud Engineering, OpenShift (OCP), Docker, and Kubernetes-based platforms.  Proven experience with Infrastructure Automation using Terraform.  Strong Python and Shell scripting skills for automation and platform tooling.  Experience with observability, monitoring, and Linux system administration Experience designing and supporting streaming platforms (Kafka/Flink) is required.
