SAP Commissions Product Developer
SAP Commissions | SAP HANA Data Integration (HANA DI)

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced SAP Commissions Product Developer to design, build, and optimize incentive compensation management (ICM) solutions on the SAP Commissions (formerly CallidusCloud) platform. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with SAP HANA Data Integration (HANA DI) and can independently own data pipelines that feed commission calculations, reporting, and analytics.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and configure SAP Commissions plans, rules, and workflows (Compensation Plans, Incentive Rules, Classifiers, Rate Tables, Quotas, and Payment Workflows).
- Build and maintain data integration pipelines using SAP HANA DI (Data Integration/Data Intelligence) to move and transform data between source systems (CRM, ERP, Payroll) and SAP Commissions.
- Develop and optimize HANA SQL scripts, calculation views, and stored procedures to support commission calculations and reporting.
- Translate business incentive compensation requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Perform end-to-end testing of compensation plans, including unit testing, UAT support, and defect resolution.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations, Finance, and Sales Compensation teams to gather requirements and validate calculation logic.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies, calculation errors, and integration failures across the commissions pipeline.
- Support platform upgrades, patches, and performance tuning of SAP Commissions and HANA DI jobs.
- Maintain technical documentation for configurations, data flows, and integration jobs.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all commission-related data flows.
Required Skills & Experience- 8-10 years of overall IT experience, with at least 3+ years working directly on SAP Commissions (CallidusCloud / SAP Commissions Cloud).
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP HANA Data Integration / Data Intelligence (HANA DI), including building and scheduling data integration jobs.
- Proficiency in SAP Commissions configuration: Compensation Plans, Rate Tables, Classifiers, Incentive Rules, Position/Payee hierarchies.
- Solid SQL skills, including HANA-specific SQL scripting, calculation views, and stored procedures.
- Experience integrating SAP Commissions with upstream/downstream systems (Salesforce, SAP ERP, Workday, or similar CRM/HRIS/Payroll platforms).
- Understanding of Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) business processes - quota management, plan design, payment calculation, and dispute resolution.
- Experience with ETL/data pipeline development and troubleshooting in large-volume data environments.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to trace calculation issues back to source data.
- Excellent communication skills to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Nice to Have- SAP Commissions certification.
- Experience with SAP BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud, or other SAP reporting/BI tools.
- Prior experience in Sales Compensation, Finance, or Sales Operations domains.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery methodology.
