Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer II (iOS) with deep expertise in Swift, Objective-C, and iOS application architecture. In this role, you will lead the development of robust mobile solutions, drive modernization initiatives, mentor engineers, and contribute to the technical direction of our iOS platform.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in designing scalable mobile applications, modernizing legacy Objective-C codebases, implementing clean architectural patterns, and delivering high-quality user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Development

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C.
• Lead implementation of complex features and take ownership of critical application domains.
• Drive architectural decisions utilizing MVVM, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and Dependency Injection.
• Modernize legacy Objective-C codebases through incremental migration to Swift.
• Ensure application performance, reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
• Implement and integrate RESTful APIs, JSON services, and secure API communications.
• Utilize profiling and diagnostic tools such as Xcode Instruments and Xcode Organizer to optimize application performance.
• Apply security best practices and OWASP mobile security principles.
• Develop solutions with a customer-first mindset and strong attention to user experience.
• Evaluate technical alternatives and recommend optimal solutions.

Engineering Excellence

• Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and refactoring initiatives.
• Conduct code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, API documentation, and knowledge-sharing materials.
• Implement testing strategies, including unit testing and integration testing.
• Analyze and resolve complex production issues through advanced debugging techniques.
• Contribute to automation, build tooling, and engineering productivity initiatives.

Collaboration & Process

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, retrospectives, and release activities.
• Partner with Product, Design, Analytics, and Engineering teams to define requirements and influence platform roadmaps.
• Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and technical recommendations effectively.
• Collaborate closely with backend and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.

Mentorship & Leadership

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Support the establishment of coding standards and development practices.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and technical excellence.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and contribute to team-wide improvements.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience

• 6+ years of professional experience in iOS mobile application development.
• Extensive experience with Objective-C and Swift.
• Proven experience designing and delivering complex mobile applications.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, projects, or engineering workstreams.
• Experience modernizing and maintaining large-scale mobile codebases.
