About this role
What Were Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who can work across the stack with confidence and ownership. Has a strong product mindset and builds with scalability in mind. Is comfortable balancing frontend development, backend logic, cloud services, and data workflows. Can quickly understand business requirements and convert them into reliable technical solutions. Thrives in collaborative teams and contributes to engineering excellence.
5+ years of software development experience in full stack web application development.
- Strong hands-on experience in React (v18+), including:
- Hooks
- Context API
- Component-driven development
- Experience with reactive data patterns; exposure to RxJS / rxfire is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript with real-world production experience across frontend and backend systems.
- Solid backend development experience using Node.js (v20 preferred).
- Strong hands-on experience with Firebase, especially:
- Firestore
- Cloud Functions
- Firebase Authentication
- Good understanding of JavaScript and SCSS in production-grade frontend applications.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and writing optimized SQL queries
Cloud & Platform Skills
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is preferred
- Familiarity with cloud services such as
- Cloud Tasks
- Cloud Storage
- Secret Manager
- Cloud SQL
- Equivalent cloud experience in AWS or Azure is also acceptable.
Testing & Quality
- Hands-on experience with:
- Jest
- React Testing Library for frontend testing
- Supertest for backend/API testing
- Strong understanding of unit testing, integration testing, and quality engineering practices
Development Workflow
- Comfortable working with:
- Git-based version control
- Pull request workflows
- Code review practices
- GitHub Actions / CI-CD pipelines
Additional Skills
- Ability to independently understand third-party API documentation and implement integrations
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment
- Self-driven attitude with ownership mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced product environment
Good to Have
- Experience with RxJS / rxfire or other reactive programming approaches
- Knowledge of Firebase Security Rules and secure access design
- Experience working with BI/reporting pipelines or data replication between NoSQL and SQL systems
- Exposure to scalable SaaS/product engineering environments
- Experience optimizing performance for both frontend applications and backend services
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Full Stack Development
- Strong expertise in React + TypeScript + Node.js
- Hands-on experience with Firebase and GCP
- Comfortable with PostgreSQL, API integrations, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines
- Based in Chennai or willing to work from Chennai
- Immediate joiners preferred
