Job Description
We are looking for an Android Audio Framework Engineer with strong hands-on experience in C++, Android Audio Framework, and AOSP.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Android Audio Framework using C++
- Hands-on experience with Android Audio Framework / AOSP Audio
- Hands-on experience working with AOSP source code
- Experience with key Android Audio components such as:
- AudioFlinger
- AudioPolicy / AudioPolicyManager
- AudioService / AudioManager
- AudioFocus & Audio Routing
- AudioTrack / AudioRecord
- Audio HAL
- Strong understanding of C++, OOP, Multithreading, Synchronization, IPC/Binder, and AIDL
- Good knowledge of Linux and command-line debugging
- Hands-on experience with ADB, Logcat, Dumpsys, Bugreport, GDB, and Android traces
- Experience with Git/Gerrit
- Ability to debug issues across Android Framework → Native Audio Framework → Audio HAL
Good to Have
- Good working knowledge of Java
- Understanding of Android Framework and system architecture
- Experience with Android Automotive / IVI
- Knowledge of ALSA / TinyALSA
- Experience with HIDL/AIDL-based HAL
