Job Description
- Pipeline Development: Create and maintain ETL/ELT processes for ingesting data from multiple sources into staging and persistent layers (Data Vault).
- Data Vault 2.0 Implementation: Design and manage Hubs, Links, and Satellites for raw and business vault layers.
- Dimensional Modeling: Support downstream reporting by preparing data for star schemas and semantic layers.
- Database Object Management: Collaborate with App Dev teams to ensure necessary objects are available for reporting.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and tune ingestion processes for scalability and cost efficiency (e.g., Snowflake warehouse sizing)..
- Governance & Security: Apply best practices for data quality, lineage, and compliance.
- We are looking for a Snowflake, Senior Developer who will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines to move data from diverse source systems into the Modern Data Platform (MDP).
- ETL/ELT Expertise: Strong experience with tools like Matillion and Snowflake.
- Data Modeling: Proficiency in Data Vault 2.0 methodology and dimensional modeling.
- SQL & Scripting: Advanced SQL skills; familiarity with Python or similar for automation.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS or Azure for data engineering workloads.
- Database Fundamentals: Solid understanding of normalization and denormalization strategies.
- Collaboration: Ability to work closely with BI, App Dev, and governance teams.
