About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Civil Engineer to join our High-Rise Building Project at Vadlamudi, near Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.

The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating civil construction activities, ensuring execution as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, project schedules, and applicable codes.

The role requires strong site execution experience in RCC structures, high-rise construction, finishing works, subcontractor management, quantity verification, quality control, and coordination with consultants and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution

• Plan, supervise, and monitor day-to-day civil construction activities.
• Execute works according to approved drawings, specifications, BBS,BOQ, method statements, and project schedules.
• Supervise RCC, structural, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, tiling, painting, and finishing works.
• Ensure construction activities are completed within the planned schedule.
• Monitor productivity of manpower, subcontractors, and construction teams.
• Coordinate multiple work fronts and ensure smooth site progress.

2. High-Rise RCC Construction

• Supervise high-rise RCC structural activities including:
  
• Foundation works
• Piling / pile foundation, where applicable
• Raft and footing works
• Columns
• Shear walls
• Beams
• Slabs
• Staircases
• Core structures
• Check reinforcement, shuttering/formwork, embedments, levels, dimensions, and alignment before concrete pouring.
• Coordinate concrete pouring activities and ensure proper execution.
• Monitor concrete quality, cube testing, curing, and related documentation.

3. Drawing & Technical Coordination

• Study and interpret structural, architectural, MEP, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.
• Raise RFIs/technical queries and obtain necessary clarifications.
• Ensure latest approved drawings are being followed at site.

4. Quality Control

• Ensure construction is carried out according to approved quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct inspections at various stages of construction.
• Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspections and approvals.
• Ensure proper material usage and workmanship.
• Identify and rectify construction defects and non-conformities.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists, test reports, and quality documentation.

5. Quantity & Measurement

• Verify quantities executed by subcontractors.
• Check measurements against BOQ and approved drawings.
• Assist in preparation and verification of RA Bills / subcontractor bills.
• Monitor material consumption and wastage.
• Coordinate with the Quantity Surveyor / Billing Engineer regarding measurements and quantities.

6. Planning & Progress Monitoring

• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress.
• Prepare daily progress reports and provide updates to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with planning teams for activity schedules and targets.
• Identify delays, constraints, and critical activities.
• Take corrective actions to achieve project milestones.

7. Subcontractor Management

• Supervise civil subcontractors and their workforce.
• Allocate work fronts and monitor manpower productivity.
• Ensure subcontractors follow project specifications, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
• Monitor subcontractor performance against agreed schedules and targets.

8. Safety Compliance

• Ensure all civil activities are performed in accordance with site HSE requirements.
• Coordinate with the Safety Team regarding work-at-height, scaffolding, lifting, excavation, formwork, and other high-risk activities.
• Ensure workers use appropriate PPE.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions and take corrective action.

9. Material & Resource Management

• Coordinate with stores and procurement teams for timely availability of construction materials.
• Monitor material requirements for upcoming activities.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of construction materials.
• Minimize material wastage and improve resource utilization.

10. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily site records and construction documentation.
• Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR).
• Maintain inspection requests, checklists, concrete records, test reports, and work completion records.
• Support project documentation, handover, snagging, and close-out activities.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of RCC high-rise building construction.
• Excellent understanding of structural and architectural drawings.
• Knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and site execution.
• Knowledge of concrete technology and reinforcement works.
• Knowledge of shuttering/formwork systems.
• Knowledge of waterproofing and finishing works.
• Knowledge of quantity estimation and measurement.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices.
• Ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and MEP teams.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
• Knowledge of project planning tools such as MS Project / Primavera will be an advantage.

Educational Qualification

Essential:

• B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

Preferred:

• M.Tech / PG qualification in Structural Engineering / Construction Management.
• Relevant professional certifications in construction/project management will be an advantage.

Experience

712 years of relevant experience in civil construction, preferably with substantial experience in:

• High-rise residential buildings
• Commercial buildings
• Apartment projects
• RCC framed structures
• Large-scale building construction
• Finishing and handover activities

Candidates with experience in 20+ storey high-rise projects will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on civil construction professional who can independently manage assigned work fronts and coordinate effectively with Project Managers, Planning, QS, QA/QC, Safety, MEP, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams.

Experience in high-rise RCC construction from foundation through finishing and handover will be highly preferred.
