Senior Signal Processing Engineer

Job Purpose

Design, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of signal processing solutions throughout the product development lifecycle.

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement advanced signal processing algorithms for complex defense and aerospace systems.
• Develop and optimize radar signal processing solutions for target detection, tracking, and classification applications.
• Perform modeling, simulation, analysis, and validation of signal processing and radar algorithms.
• Design and evaluate radar waveforms and associated processing techniques.
• Develop algorithms for measurements, estimation, detection, tracking, and array signal processing.
• Work on small UAV detection and classification solutions using conventional and advanced processing techniques.
• Implement and test algorithms using MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or C.
• Support radar data acquisition, processing, performance evaluation, and system-level integration.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• 2-5 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of digital signal processing fundamentals, including sampling, quantization, FFT, filtering, and signal conditioning techniques.
• Experience in radar signal processing, including waveform design, matched filtering, ambiguity function analysis, stretch processing, and radar data acquisition.
• Knowledge of estimation and detection theory, including CRLB, MLE, Neyman-Pearson detection, likelihood ratio tests, and CFAR-based detection techniques.
• Familiarity with target detection and clutter analysis, including fluctuating/non-fluctuating target models, coherent/non-coherent integration, and clutter modeling.
• Proficiency in target tracking algorithms, including Kalman Filters, Extended/Unscented Kalman Filters, Particle Filters, and Track-While-Scan (TWS) concepts.
• Expertise in array signal processing, including adaptive beamforming, phase steering, and Space-Time Adaptive Processing (STAP).
• Knowledge of small UAV detection, classification, and tracking techniques in challenging operational environments.
• Hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or C for algorithm development, modeling, simulation, and performance analysis.
