Senior SDET - AI & Automation

Description Job Summary We are seeking a

Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) – AI & Automation to lead the delivery of high-quality software through an

automation-first, AI-enabled quality engineering approach . This role owns

end-to-end quality delivery , driving

test strategy, automation frameworks, and execution across

web, mobile, desktop, API, and data platforms . The candidate will be responsible for improving

test coverage, release velocity, and product quality , while leading the team in adopting modern testing practices. The ideal candidate combines

strong technical expertise, hands-on execution, and leadership capability , with the ability to design scalable frameworks and drive team execution.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Own and drive end-to-end quality delivery for assigned systems or modules
• Define and implement automation-first testing strategy across UI, API, mobile, and desktop layers
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks (Playwright/API-first preferred)
• Develop and execute automated and manual tests across: + Functional testing + API testing + Integration testing + Performance/load testing
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage aligned with risk and business impact
• Lead and guide team members in test execution, automation, and delivery
• Drive improvements in: + Test execution efficiency + Automation coverage + Release cycle time
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation
• Analyze defects and failures using logs, data, and structured debugging approaches
• Implement shift-left and risk-based testing practices
• Collaborate with Dev, Product, and DevOps to ensure testability and quality throughout lifecycle

Additional Responsibilities

• Build or contribute to AI-assisted testing workflows (test generation, failure analysis, etc.)
• Explore and implement automation accelerators, tools, and reusable utilities
• Mentor and coach team members to improve automation and testing maturity
• Drive adoption of best practices, standards, and reusable frameworks
• Participate in planning, estimation, and delivery tracking
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives Education
• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. required Work Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing and quality engineering
• Strong hands-on experience in: + Test automation development (UI + API) + Automation framework design and implementation
• Experience working across web, mobile, and/or desktop applications
• Solid experience in API testing and automation (REST-based systems)
• Experience in performance or load testing concepts/tools
• Proven experience in driving test execution and delivery within a team
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong programming experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Excellent written, critical reading, and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently, multi-task and thrive in fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills including root cause failure analysis methods
• Experience with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, RestAssured
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing, prompt engineering, or LLM-based workflows
• Experience with agent-based automation or MCP/context-driven systems
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, etc.)
• Understanding of test data management and environment management
• Experience building internal QA tools or productivity accelerators License and Certifications
• ISTQB or equivalent certification preferred
• Certifications in test automation, performance testing, or AI/ML fundamentals are a plus Travel Requirements 10%: Up to 26 business days per year
