Senior SDE

The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:

Backend Systems and APIs:

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs.
• Develop high-performance, reliable, and maintainable systems.
• Ensure seamless integration across internal and external services.

Distributed Systems and Scalability:

• Build and optimise distributed systems for high availability and fault tolerance.
• Implement asynchronous and event-driven architectures using queues and streams.
• Design systems for observability, resilience, and graceful failure.

Data and System Performance:

• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for transactional and high-scale workloads.
• Optimise system performance across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
• Ensure efficient data handling and system throughput.

Cloud and Infrastructure:

• Build and deploy services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Work with containerization technologies such as Docker (Kubernetes is a plus).
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems.

Engineering Excellence:

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and improve engineering standards.
• Take ownership of services from development through deployment and production.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, NodeJS, or Go.
• Experience building and operating production backend systems and APIs.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and system design fundamentals.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to take ownership and work independently on complex problems.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with message brokers like Kafka or similar systems.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Exposure to healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, or HIPAA.
• Experience integrating with EHR/EMR systems or healthcare APIs.
• Experience working on high-scale or data-intensive systems.
