Senior SAP Consultant

Role & responsibilities

• Lead SAP consulting engagements from requirements gathering through implementation, rollout, and production support.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP functional and technical solutions.
• Configure and optimize SAP modules based on business processes and industry requirements.
• Work closely with business users, functional teams, technical teams, and project managers.
• Conduct workshops, requirement analysis, process mapping, gap analysis, and solution design.
• Prepare functional specifications, solution documentation, test scenarios, and user guides.
• Support SAP S/4HANA transformation, migration, upgrade, and integration initiatives.
• Coordinate with ABAP developers and integration teams for custom developments and interfaces.
• Support integrations using APIs, IDocs, RFC, web services, SAP CPI/Integration Suite, and other relevant technologies.
• Lead unit testing, integration testing, UAT, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
• Troubleshoot complex SAP issues and provide root-cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
• Support data migration, data validation, reconciliation, and cutover activities.
• Provide production support and ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and SAP standardization.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge-sharing and SAP best practices.
• Manage client communication, expectations, project risks, dependencies, and deliverables.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5 to 10 years of SAP consulting experience with strong expertise in at least one SAP functional or technical area.
• Proven experience in SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, migration, or production support projects.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and familiarity with modern SAP cloud solutions.
• Strong understanding of business processes relevant to the candidate's SAP specialization.
• Hands-on experience with SAP configuration, solution design, testing, troubleshooting, and integration.
• Working knowledge of SAP Fiori, SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite/CPI, APIs, IDocs, and SAP HANA is advantageous.
• Experience working with ABAP developers and cross-functional SAP teams.
• Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology, Agile/Scrum, ITIL, and project delivery practices is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause-analysis capabilities.
• Ability to independently manage requirements and deliver solutions with limited supervision.
• Excellent client-facing, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience mentoring junior consultants or leading small technical/functional teams.
• Relevant SAP certifications, particularly S/4HANA and the candidate's area of specialization, are preferred.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field, depending on specialization.
• Willingness to stay current with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, AI/automation, and SAP cloud technologies.
