Senior SAP BPC Consultant (with BW/4HANA & SAC exposure)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior SAP BPC Consultant (with BW/4HANA & SAC exposure) to provide hands-on production support, troubleshooting, and enhancement for SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation) applications, supported by SAP BW/4HANA, S/4HANA, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). The role focuses on BPC configuration, script logic, data management, EPM reporting and planning templates, performance tuning, and ongoing support within a large-scale SAP landscape.
This is a technical delivery and support role requiring deep expertise in BPC application configuration and troubleshooting, working closely with finance, functional, and IT teams to keep planning, forecasting, and consolidation processes stable, high-performing, and continuously improved.

Key Responsibilities
Production Support (Troubleshooting & Fixing)

• Troubleshoot and fix Data Manager (DM) packages, transformation and conversion files, mappings, and data copy/import/export issues.
• Resolve issues with input schedules, EPM templates, planning functions, allocations, EPM reports, charts, drill-through, and other output issues.
• Develop, debug, and maintain script logic (Default/Allocation/Business Rules, Fox formulas) for planning, allocation, and consolidation calculations.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues, including slow reports, long-running packages, workbook delays, and query timeouts.
• Implement model and dimension changes, work status configuration, and data archiving, with proper impact analysis and transport management.
• Support the BPC add-on, user access and security, EPM ribbon, and Excel issues, including upgrades and post-install steps.
• Troubleshoot BW/4HANA, S/4HANA, and non-SAP feeds into BPC, including data load failures, reconciliation, and process chain issues.
• Respond to general questions, best-practice guidance, feature requests, and documentation needs from business users and stakeholders.

Design, Enhancement & Integration

• Configure and enhance SAP BPC - environments, models, dimensions, business rules, security, and data manager packages.
• Manage technical integration between BPC, BW/4HANA, S/4HANA, and SAC, including data flows, system connections, and performance optimization.
• Support system upgrades, migrations, and transport management across landscapes, including BPC to SAC Planning migration activities.
• Maintain SAC planning components (planning models, stories, analytical applications, security roles) and BW/4HANA data models and ETL (Advanced DSOs, CompositeProviders, Transformations, DTPs, Process Chains) as they relate to BPC.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, data flow diagrams, support runbooks, and configuration guides.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to translate planning, forecasting, and consolidation requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of overall SAP experience, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on SAP BPC experience (BPC 10/11 or BPC Embedded, on BW/4HANA).
• Strong expertise in BPC configuration and support - environments, models, dimensions, business rules, script logic, Fox formulas, Data Manager packages, transformation/conversion files, and work status.
• Hands-on experience with EPM Add-in/ribbon, input schedules, EPM templates, reports, charts, drill-through, planning functions, and allocations.
• Proven experience in production support and root cause analysis for BPC - package failures, calculation errors, data discrepancies, output issues, and access/security issues.
• Experience in performance tuning - slow reports, long-running packages, workbook delays, and query timeouts.
• Experience with BPC add-on installation, upgrades, post-install steps, and Excel/EPM ribbon troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of SAP BW/BW4HANA (InfoObjects, Advanced DSOs, CompositeProviders, Transformations, DTPs, Process Chains) and integration with S/4HANA and non-SAP sources; ABAP for BW is a plus.
• Working knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning and BPC-to-SAC migration scenarios is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP transport management and system landscape (DEV/QA/PROD), including change management and archiving procedures.
• Good understanding of finance planning and consolidation processes (budgeting, forecasting, allocations, actuals reporting).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders and handle support tickets within SLAs.
