Senior Risk Manager

Job Purpose

The Senior Risk Manager will be responsible for leading the Companys risk management policies, procedures, and initiatives, including risk planning, assessment, monitoring, measurement, and reporting. The role will work closely with Executive Management, operations, technology teams, Regulators, and external auditors to identify, assess, and manage enterprise-wide and business-related risks.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Risk Management

• Lead and coordinate enterprise-wide risk assessments.
• Monitor and review business process risk assessments.
• Aggregate, monitor, and evaluate risk exposures across the Group.
• Coordinate group-wide incident reporting, including action planning and follow-up.
• Lead risk management education and training initiatives.

Stakeholder & Governance Management

• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with Executive Management and key stakeholders on risk-related initiatives.
• Prepare risk-related reports and content for Board-level discussions on a quarterly and ad-hoc basis.
• Liaise with Regulators and external auditors as required.

Financial & Business Risk

• Assess and manage business-related financial risks, including:
• Foreign exchange (FX) risk
• Interest rate risk
• Political and social risks
• Economic and operational risks
• Fuel hedging
• Counterparty risk
• Actively manage the Groups FX exposures and transactional risks.
• Assess and implement hedging programmes in accordance with Group policies.

Insurance & Risk Protection

• Monitor and evaluate Group and subsidiary insurance programmes, including P&I, FD&D, and Chartering coverage.
• Assess coverage requirements and support effective management of insurance-related risks.

Technology & Risk Analytics

• Partner with technology teams to define business requirements supporting strategic risk initiatives.
• Support development and implementation of effective technology solutions and analytical capabilities for risk management.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in risk consultancy or risk management services across multiple industries.

Preferred Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in a broad range of risk consultancy services.
• Strong project management background.
• Exposure to capital markets trading and derivatives.

Education

Minimum / Preferred:

• Master’s degree from a recognized university.
