Senior Resident - General Surgery

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care to surgical patients.
  
• Perform and assist in routine and emergency surgical procedures.
  
• Participate actively in ward rounds, case presentations, and academic discussions.
  
• Manage outpatient department (OPD) clinics and attend emergency calls as per duty schedule.
  
• Supervise and guide junior residents, interns, and medical students during clinical duties.
  
• Ensure meticulous documentation of patient care and maintenance of medical records.
  
• Assist in surgical audits, morbidity & mortality meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
  
• Participate in research, clinical audits, and publication of case studies or papers.
  
• Maintain strict adherence to hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety guidelines.
  

Eligibility Criteria:

• Qualification: MS/DNB in General Surgery from a recognized institution.
  
• Registration: Must be registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI/NMC) or relevant State Medical Council.
  
• Experience: Fresh graduates or those with prior experience as a Senior Resident in General Surgery preferred.
